Planting a Green Legacy

A green future starts with us

Saving Our Only Home

At QNET, we know climate change is the greatest threat to our planet’s future. The levels of greenhouse gases in our atmosphere are at their highest levels in two million years and they are climbing.

These gases are warming our planet. We are already witnessing their impact as increased droughts, wildfires, floods, and storms ravage our communities and animal species teeter on the brink of extinction.

We must act now to reduce our carbon footprint and ensure our children inherit a habitable planet. That is why QNET is committed to building a Green Legacy

What We Can Do

As a corporation, we understand the role we have in addressing climate change and other environmental issues. As we empower our employees and distributors to champion sustainable practices in their daily lives, we also seek to partner with trusted environmental actors to spearhead sustainable initiatives around the world and drive a global discussion around sustainability.

By working together, our partnerships can be a force multiplier, extending our reach and increasing our impact. By focusing on building a Green Legacy, we can change the future and leave a healthier, cleaner, and better planet for generations to come.

QNET’s Reforestation Initiative

According to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), tropical forests are losing more than 30 football fields worth of trees every minute. To catch up with deforestation by 2050, the world would need to grow enough trees to cover an area five times the size of India.

QNET understands the critical role forests hold in the livelihoods, ecology, culture, and health of communities in which we work. Forests support more than 80% of the world’s land species and protect 75% of our freshwater. They reduce the risk of natural disasters such as floods and landslides and more than 1.6 billion people depend on forests for their income.

The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) identify reforestation and sustainable forest management as key to combating climate change.

Reforestation comes at a price, however. Reverting land into forest can adversely impact food and energy production. QNET is leading a global discussion on responsible and sustainable reforestation and what it means for the communities where we work.

Our Global Forest

QNET launched its Green Legacy in 2021 by partnering with Ecomatcher to plant a global forest. The first phase of QNET’s reforestation initiative saw a total of 3,000 saplings planted in Kenya, the Philippines, and the United Arab Emirates.

Since then, QNET has also contributed to reforestation efforts in Bali, Algeria, and Turkey, with more projects in more communities along the way.

Let’s Work Together
